So, Jacob has absolutely LOVED going to school this year. And he is a big science kid. He LOVES watching the Discovery channel and anything about wildlife, outer space, or bugs. Anyway, yesterday he came home from school and ran into the house excitedly. He was about to burst with excitement because he could not WAIT to tell me what was on his mind. He yelled, "Mom, did you know that the earth spins around and we don't feel it at all?!"
He was even more surprised when I told him that I did, in fact, know that and he is now convinced that I am a genius (which we, of course, all know that I am)! It was really cute.
Also, they've recently done some fun activities in his class. They're learning about the sense of smell and did an activity where the kids had to smell something that was hidden from them and guess what it was. Some of Jacob's answers were hilarious:
What the item was............What Jacob wrote down
Vinegar ..............................gurbij (aka garbage)
Cinnamon ........................ham
Chocolate .........................choklit
Also, I am way belated on updating my blog on our annual hot air balloon races in Reno and Aubrey's new gymnastics class. So, hopefully I will post soon.

i love his spelling, but my favorite of all was how he thought cinnamon smelled like ham. He must be thinking the maple honey baked ham we get at Thanksgiving. What a smart little kiddo! Can't wait to hear more of his "did you know's."
